The doll you lost as a child, the good idea you definitely wrote down somewhere, that wonderful conversation you had with ChatGPT last year — where did they go?

In Kazuo Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go, there is a small superstition. Lost things in England, the children believe, all wash up in Norfolk. The children in the book believe it sincerely. Even after growing up and learning that it was only a child's imagination, the comfort that belief gave them never fully disappears.

That is where the name of our product came from.

We lose something every day

The meeting notes you wrote in Notion can be found if you search for them. If you remember the exact words.

Your Obsidian vault has three years of notes, but when you actually need one, you do not know where it is.

That insightful conversation you had with ChatGPT yesterday disappears when you open a new window. The AI acts as if it is meeting you for the first time again.

The notes you threw into Google Keep are... well, Google Keep.

The data is clearly there, but somewhere we cannot reach. It did not disappear. It washed away.

Norfolk is where those things gather

It brings in data scattered across Notion, Obsidian, and Google Keep. It does not ask you to organize everything. It simply gathers it. Then AI begins to remember on top of it.

Why we chose this name

In Ishiguro's book, it does not matter whether Norfolk was really the destination for lost things. What matters is that believing such a place exists helps people endure.

PKM, Personal Knowledge Management, sounds too cold. "Second brain" sounds too grand. What we are building is something softer: the relief that the thoughts you believed were lost may actually be gathered somewhere.

Norfolk is that kind of place.
